Marlowe Restaurant & Wine Bar

This was my second time to eat here, thanks to Groupon’s Three Course Dinner for 2 deal.  I like that they don’t offer a separate menu for voucher holders, like a lot of other restaurants do, so we got to pick any item we wanted from the main menu.  Naturally we gravitated towards the most expensive items lol – we’re shameless that way. 😀

The ambience was stylish, warm, and inviting, and I loved the live music that was playing.  It reminded me of resort hotel lounges.

First, appetizers –

Their bacon-wrapped scallops were good.

Cajun Shrimps – perfectly cooked and tasty.

For the main entrees, Drei and I both chose steak – his was Cowboy Steak and I got their Filet Mignon.   I think they got our doneness preferences mixed up though.  Mine appeared more rare than Drei’s.

For dessert, Marlowe offers cheesecakes from the US’s famed Cheesecake Factory.   How can we resist Dulce de Leche?

We also ordered their Tahitian vanilla creme brulee. Not too sweet, it was delicious.

This is one of the better Western restaurants I’ve been to in Markham and we look forward to going back!  🙂
